Privacy Policy

This policy describes how the Android app Luân Canh handles information.

Summary

• No developer account/login is required for core features.
• Location, photos, and optional diagnosis API keys stay under your control.
• Weather and plant diagnosis may send limited data to third-party APIs you choose or that the app uses for weather.

Data we process on your device

We do not operate a Luân Canh cloud account that syncs your garden by default.

Permissions

• Internet — fetch weather; call diagnosis APIs you configure
• Location (optional) — personalize weather; you can enter location manually if denied
• Camera / photos (optional) — garden journal and plant diagnosis
• Notifications (optional) — local care reminders (watering, fertilizing, harvest, etc.)
• Exact alarms / boot — schedule and restore local reminders after reboot

Third-party services

1. Open-Meteo — approximate coordinates may be sent to retrieve weather.
2. Plant.id or OpenAI-compatible endpoint — only when you enable diagnosis and provide credentials; photos/symptoms are sent to that provider under their terms.

Review those providers’ privacy policies before enabling diagnosis.

Children

The app is not directed at children under 13. Do not configure personal API keys on a child’s device without a parent/guardian.

Data retention & deletion

Local data remains until you clear app storage or uninstall. Uninstalling removes on-device app data. We cannot remotely delete device-only data.

Changes

We may update this policy. The “Last updated” date will change; continued use after updates means you accept the revised policy.
